Who and What Are  The Reasonables?

The Reasonables  are people just like you and me who combine head and heart  as we examine the evidence about the nature of reality,  about  the nature of humanity,  and  our relationship to the source of creation.   

With regard to the day to day world, we look at conflicted, confusing, and trying  situations and circumstances  in the outside world and ask:  

What solution or solutions  will offer the highest good for the greatest number at the smallest cost -- cost being figured in terms of  lives lost, people injured, grief, misery, deprivation,  financial cost, time, energy, resources, effort, and focus of attention being withdrawn from other aspects of life.  

Although many of us follow traditional religious paths to God, most of us  have concluded that traditional religions are not for us.   We seek Creator/God from a different approach.    We call ourselves Universal Spirituality Seekers.   

Some of us are presently ignoring both  religion and spirituality.   We are not atheists.  It's that we simply don't know how to relate to The Source of Creation.  

If asked to describe ourselves, most of us would include answers such as the following:

   I follow a traditional religion and I realize that my way is not the only path to God.   

   Traditional religion no longer serves me.   Yes, I acknowledge a higher power and a source of creation.  I simply do not know what that source is or how it functions.   

   If I choose to pray, I connect directly to Creator/God.   Even the Christian Bible tells me that churches do not have exclusive access to God:  Matthew 6:5-6    

   I realize that I am intimately connected to God, to nature and to my fellow humans.   

   I see the present government (July 2008) as leading us into economic and environmental disaster?   (October Update -- Fasten your seat belt.)

   I see the people who are sitting back, doing nothing, and waiting for God to rescue them  as taking a rather foolhardy approach to problem solving.

   I am concerned about the excessive environmental destruction? 

   I am concerned about the rapidly rising prices of gas, food, and every thing else? 

   I am  concerned about the intentional destruction of the middle class?

   I think of myself as open minded, new thinking, honest, fair, compassionate, rational, and  reasonable.   

There are now millions of us who fit most of the above descriptions.   If we work together and support each other, we can create the world any way we choose it to be.   Collectively, we have incredible power because most of us have had some training regarding  the ways in which The Universe functions.   This gives us a huge advantage over those who run the existing political and economic systems.  Together, we can manifest the visions that have been previously ignored.   We can make major transformations.   

According to a 2008 research report by PEW Research Center, 60% of the American population believe in God as a superhuman being and 25% believe in God as an impersonal, Universal Force.    These results indicate that approximately seventy-five million people in the U.S. think of God as an impersonal, Universal Force.   We refer to this as Universal Spirituality.    

Up until now, the power and potential of these people, as a group, has been completely ignored or put down by those controlling the nation's political and religious structures.   

We are no longer willing to sit on the sidelines while those controlling of the government commit collective suicide and drag the rest of the world down with them.   Here are just four of their socially destructive, collective suicide tools:

   Ignoring Nature's Doomsday Machine.   We have turned on Nature's doomsday machine.  We must turn it back off.

   The Rapture    If "Resident" Bush is not secretly promoting The Rapture, he's giving a good imitation of someone who is.   

   Bush & Company deficit financing    Deficit financing is destroying the American middle class and America's production capacity.

   The Great Money Rip-off   The U. S. Financial system is not only rotten to the core, it's about to collapse.  If it collapses without a viable, functional replacement, humans will not have the capacity to Reverse Global Warming before it becomes unstoppable.

We are approaching political and social transformation, not from the perspective of asking to be heard, but from the perspective of creating the world as we choose it to be.   We are inviting you to join us in person with physical activity and/or with financial assistance.²
